"Crossing" is a short film produced by INTERSOS and funded by UNHCR in 2023 as part of their partnership in South Lebanon. The film presents a poignant narrative that underscores societal violence rooted in gender discrimination. The video sheds light on the ways war and displacement exacerbate vulnerabilities, erode support systems, and create conditions where exploitation and abuse can thrive. It not only serves as a resource to raise awareness on GBV among communities but also as a critical tool for humanitarian workers operating in different contexts to understand the complexity of SEA and GBV, and the structural and personal dynamics involved. This is an easy to use tool in trainings, sensitization, and advocacy to foster dialogue with empathy that result in a deeper understanding of the complexities of gender-based violence, while empowering survivors and promoting prevention efforts.
