Israeli naval forces intercepted the Sumud Flotilla, which sailed from #Turkey in an attempt to break the siege on #Gaza, forcibly detaining international activists and transferring them to Israel. At Ashdod Port, Itamar Ben-Gvir, Israel’s National Security Minister, arrived to oversee their detention. In the video, he labels the activists “terror supporters” and calls for their prolonged imprisonment in Israeli prisons -- remarks that amount to the outright criminalisation of peaceful humanitarian activism and the targeting of civilians engaged in solidarity efforts.
