Christine Kandie, Executive Director of the EIWEN, makes statement at 62nd Human Rights Council
For the Endorois people, food systems are inseparable from ancestral land, water, pastoralism, culture, health, and self-determination. The ripple effects of eviction from our ancestral lands continue to weaken our traditional food systems, reduce access to grazing lands, disrupt intergenerational knowledge transfer, and deepen hunger, poverty, trauma, and exclusion.
