A mixture is a physical combination of two or more different substances. Mixtures can always be separated into their components using physical properties. There are two types of mixtures. Homogeneous mixtures have a uniform appearance throughout. They seem completely blended to the human eye. Homogeneous mixtures are called solutions. In a heterogeneous mixture, the different components have visible boundaries. Mixtures may include any phase of matter.
