Coastal Connections – Conserving Underwater and Intertidal Heritage
This workshop explores the challenges of conserving heritage sites that are located underwater or within intertidal zones. Join us to learn from a range of case studies to find out how leading initiatives are making a difference to the stewardship of these important but particularly vulnerable sites. We will draw on expertise from around the world, with a particular focus on sites in Libya, Maldives, Kenya, and the UK. Our panel includes Lucy Blue (University of Southampton), Julia Nikolaus and Nicholas Ray (University of Ulster), Peta Knott (Nautical Archaeology Society), Louise Firth (University College Cork) and Caesar Bita (National Museums of Kenya).
