Connected Childhood | Save the Children UK
Every half second, a child makes their first click online.
Today’s children and young people are the most connected generation in history. Yet our latest research with the Vodafone Foundation shows they are still not adequately protected from online harm.
In this animation, we launch a new report from Save the Children UK exploring digital wellbeing, online safety, and children’s rights in the digital world. By speaking directly to children and young people, our research highlights the real challenges they face online — from exposure to harmful content to online bullying — as well as the opportunities the internet can offer.
Access to the digital world is a right. That’s why governments, tech companies, schools, parents and communities must work together to ensure platforms are safer by design — and that children have the right skills, knowledge and support to navigate the online world safely and confidently.
