From the First Global Symposium to Action: Advancing Gender-Responsive Social Protection

The webinar presented key outcomes from the first Global Symposium on Gender-Responsive Social Protection, held in February in Bangkok by UNICEF, DFAT, and FCDO. The symposium convened global stakeholders to discuss how social protection systems can better address gender inequalities and inclusivity. During the webinar, we shared insights from the sessions, highlight key partners’ contributions, and discuss opportunities for future collaboration on making social protection systems more gender-responsive and inclusive. The primary objective was to disseminate the major discussions and conclusions from the symposium to the broader socialprotection.org community. Additionally, we aimed to foster dialogue on upcoming collaboration opportunities, ensuring continued momentum in developing social protection policies that are truly inclusive.
