This video features an interview with Wayru, which is a blockchain-based WiFi network providing low-cost, resilient internet in underserved and remote communities. It reduces reliance on traditional telecom infrastructure by using mesh networks and local nodes. Wayru participated in the Pitch Event of the WFP Innovation Accelerator’s second edition of the Humanitarian Innovation Accelerator (HIA), powered by the Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, in 2025. HIA is designed to support technology‑driven solutions that address pressing challenges faced by vulnerable populations and humanitarian actors.
