The word “bioeconomy” is on the lips of many policymakers, but is it more than a buzzword? Can it be a key strategy for a sustainable future? The @EuropeanCommission will present its new EU #Bioeconomy Strategy by the end of this year. This strategy is one of the core initiatives under the #CompetitiveCompass and #CleanIndustrialDeal. The EU’s strategy must acknowledge that natural resources are limited and encourage their use in ways that most help the climate, protect nature, and support rural jobs and local economies.
