Reaching net-zero by mid-century will rely on massive, clean electrification. There are six critical actions for the 2020s that will enable that necessary scale up in electricity deployment. The sixth, and final, action is to increase financial and business commitments from the economy’s biggest players towards decarbonisation. With the right private & public sector policies and investment, the transition to net-zero can happen quicker and cost less. Funding and implementing strategies for research & development is crucial to accelerate the deployment of key electrification technologies.
