In Uganda, the Inclusive Markets for Energy Efficiency in Uganda (IMEU) project has been catalysing energy efficiency markets since 2021. Accelerating energy efficiency and clean energy transition is a national priority, serving as an effective strategy for reducing energy costs, boosting productivity, improving livelihoods, as well as adapting to and mitigating climate change. Implemented by a consortium led by SNV in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development, IMEU is actively shaping policies and catalysing investments that increase business and community adoption of energy-efficient solutions. To date, the project has reached over 41,000 households with energy-efficient solutions.
