In a time characterised by increasing fragmentation and complexity, the need to connect across different perspectives, locations, and sectors has become more important than ever. To mark SNV's 60th anniversary, we reflected on the current state of development by gathering global voices for a constructive dialogue about potential future directions. The event, titled “Development on the edge: Generational perspectives amid fragility, fragmentation, and flux,” took place at the Peace Palace on 10 September 2025. The collective sentiment was clear: the future of development must be rooted in justice, humility, innovation, and above all, in empowering people to lead their own transformations, reflected in everyday lived realities.
