Dr. Soenita Nannan Panday - Gopisingh- Medical Director at the 's Lands Hospital, the oldest hospital in Suriname with the nation's highest number of births annually- gives an overview of the development of maternal and neonatal care in the hospital. She presents the different challenges the health sector faces in order to be able to offer the desired level of care and services. She pleads for continued collaboration with the various partners in order to improve mother and childcare in the country.
