In Mali, where girls represent nearly half of the population, numerous violations of their rights persist, including female genital mutilation and child marriage. Faced with this reality, UNICEF and the Government of Mali, with the support of youth and civil society, have focused on the transformative potential of young people. Through an advocacy guide, more than 150 young advocates for girls' rights have been trained and have, in turn, mobilized more than 1,000 other champions.
