ISA-led Solarisation of Healthcare Facilities project under the QUAD Climate Initiative in Fiji

Across the remote islands of Fiji, access to reliable electricity has remained a critical challenge for healthcare delivery. To address this, the International Solar Alliance, with funding support from the Ministry of External Affairs under the QUAD Climate Initiative, successfully implemented the Solarisation of Healthcare Facilities in Fiji. The project involved the design, installation, and commissioning of solar photovoltaic systems integrated with battery storage across multiple remote healthcare sites, ensuring uninterrupted power for lighting, vaccine refrigeration, and essential medical equipment. Despite logistical challenges, inter-island transportation constraints, and remote site conditions, the initiative was successfully completed, bringing clean and reliable energy to communities that need it the most.
