ISA expanded its global solar innovation drive to Latin America and the Caribbean with the launch of the SolarX Startup Challenge: LAC Edition at COP29 in Baku. Building on successful editions in Africa and the Asia-Pacific, the Challenge attracted 113 applications from 29 countries. Ten winning startups were announced at COP30 and will receive financial support, tailored acceleration, and access to mentors, investors, and market-entry opportunities—helping scale high-impact solar solutions across the region.
