For more than a decade, scientists and NGO partners have tried to communicate the basics of ocean acidification. What is it? What is it caused by? Why should we care? What should we do? The OA Alliance hosted a webinar on April 22 to discuss the evolving landscape of communicating about climate change and ocean acidification in a rapidly changing world and media environment. Presentations and panelists discussed: (1) How ocean acidification has been communicated or covered in the press. Challenges that we need to overcome as a community to inspire more action against climate and ocean change. (2) Recommendations to improve our communications about ocean acidification impacts and response. (3) New roles for creative mediums in storytelling about climate and ocean change.
