CORE: Assessing needs on Molokai, what we're seeing is sobering.

Our team is on the ground in Molokaʻi, a small island off the coast of Oahu — and what we're seeing is sobering. Gas is $6.70 a gallon, farms are buried in debt, and crops won't recover for another six months — all in the wake of floods that have devastated the region. Beyond the visible damage, the floods stripped away what farmers depend on most — fencing that protected crops from invasive deer, irrigation systems that kept fields productive, and in some cases, entire harvests. We’re sitting with farmers, listening to what they need, and building a plan together, because these farms have fed the island for generations — and that’s not something you rebuild overnight. We’re here for the long haul, but we need your support to stay.
