Sustained global health progress
Last year ushered in profound changes to the global health landscape, but countries still made important progress. More than 15 million additional patients received treatment for high blood pressure. Pakistan and Malaysia banned industrial trans fat. Ethiopia contained its first-ever Marburg outbreak with a coordinated, rapid response.
Although significant challenges remain, our president and CEO @Dr. Tom Frieden remains optimistic about our collective ability to drive sustained progress.
