Adaptation and Resilience Dialogues 3: Effective climate information and early warning systems

As climate impacts intensify around the world, climate information and early warning systems are becoming increasingly critical to protecting vulnerable communities. This session of UNDP's Adaptation & Resilience Dialogues explored how countries are strengthening multi-hazard early warning systems and translating climate data into action that protects lives, livelihoods and development gains. Featuring practitioners and development partners from government, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), the Systematic Observations Financing Facility (SOFF), and experts from Australia, Georgia, Malawi and Uzbekistan, the discussion examined the innovative technologies, financing models and partnerships helping countries close critical weather and climate data gaps while ensuring timely warnings reach those most at risk.
