Advancing Net-Zero in Higher Education | TERI School of Advanced Studies | WSDS 2026

This video offers a small glimpse of the high-impact thematic track on “Net-Zero Transitions of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs)” convened by the Emerson Centre of Excellence for Sustainability Studies at TERI School of Advanced Studies (TERI SAS) during the silver jubilee edition of the World Sustainable Development Summit 2026, held at Taj Palace, New Delhi. The panel brought together experts from academia, industry, public policy, consulting and media, through representation from NITI Aayog, Green TERRE Foundation, KPMG, Emerson Electric Co. India Pvt. Ltd., TERI School of Advanced Studies and The Economic Times, enabling a rich and solution-oriented dialogue on Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) as catalysts of the net-zero transition. During the event, the Emerson CoE launched the publication “Higher Education Institutions as a Catalyst for Net-Zero Transition: Leading by Practice,” showcasing 16 leading HEIs and their case exemplars in advancing carbon neutrality across energy, water, waste, and sustainability-driven research and curriculum.
