The Community of Practice on Nature based Solutions (NbS) for the Western Balkans is a regional platform focused on strengthening shared understanding of NbS and supporting their effective implementation across the region. The NbS Community of Practice is co convened by the IUCN Regional Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, under ADAPT 2.0 project, and the EU4Green initiative, implemented by the Environment Agency Austria. It brings together non profit organisations, academia, and independent experts to exchange knowledge, share practical experience, and enhance cooperation on the design and application of Nature based Solutions. Through this collaborative approach, the Community of Practice supports improved understanding and uptake of NbS in practice, while also contributing over time to their better integration into policies and planning processes across climate, biodiversity, land, and water sectors in the Western Balkans.
