Model Forests and Climate Change
In total, forest loss is responsible for around 25% of our global carbon emissions. Thus, conserving and restoring our world’s forests, one of our planet’s greatest carbon sinks, is crucial in the fight against climate change.
By collaboratively, equitably, and practically managing forests as a single community landscape, the Model Forests Approach contributes to effective carbon absorption, while strengthening ecosystems, and building community.
