How can organizations trust the answers AI systems generate? In this keynote from Digital Reporting in Europe 2026 (Paris), Zornitsa Manolova, Head of Data Quality Management and Data Science at GLEIF, argues that as AI scales, trust becomes the real differentiator, and authoritative data is what makes that trust operational. She walks through two working examples built at GLEIF: 1) Extracting ownership relationships between legal entities from annual reports, connecting that data back to the LEI and its authoritative source. This includes the Transparency Fabric proof of concept, which enriches relationships into a traceable connected graph, and the use of GEPA (Genetic Pareto Reflective Prompt Evolution) to systematically optimize prompts. A key finding: a smaller, cheaper model outperformed a larger one after optimization. 2) AI-powered search that grounds answers in authoritative sources. GLEIF built an MCP-based system connecting the GLEIF website, documentation, the GLEIF API, and business statistics, with these connectors made openly available so users can plug LEI data and statistics into their own AI tools regardless of provider.
