José Antonio García and Armando Ordoñez are both agricultural producers and foresters. They used to view forestry as a way to generate extra income if they suffered losses in agriculture. Today, however, they are implementing sustainable forest management practices that will enable them to obtain quality timber in the medium term for the local wood processing industry while ensuring the health and renewal of the forests. Run by the local organisation Tikonel in partnership with ADA, the project has already enabled 225 foresters to manage their forests sustainably. Video by ChepinFilms
