UNIFIL Flash: UNIFIL peacekeepers recently conducted an unexploded ordnance removal operation in south Lebanon to enhance safety and security in the area. The effort focused on identifying and safely removing the hazard from drone activities in one of the villages close to the Blue Line. This operation highlights UNIFIL’s ongoing commitment to maintaining peace and protecting civilians in south Lebanon. UNIFIL Flash: UNIFIL peacekeepers have prioritized repairing roads and bridges to support mobility and aid access. Working closely with Lebanese Armed Forces and local authorities, they have restored key routes affected by hostilities. Despite escalation, peacekeepers remain deployed throughout southern Lebanon, continuing their efforts to support implementation of Security Council Resolution 1701.
