UNIFIL Flash: UNIFIL peacekeepers in Sector East recently escorted a humanitarian aid convoy in south Lebanon to help support local communities who remain amidst hostilities. Peacekeepers continue to demonstrate their commitment to security, stability, and supporting civilians. UNIFIL Flash: UNIFIL peacekeepers also donated 2,000 pillows to displaced residents in south Lebanon. Their efforts underscore UNIFIL’s commitment to aiding civilians, because their safety and security is essential to restoring stability in the region. UNIFIL Flash: UNIFIL provided food and hygiene kits in support of displaced families in Tyre. This will help improve living conditions and address urgent needs during the crisis, in which civilians have suffered the most. Habib Aziz – UNIFIL Civil Affairs Officer: Today, UNIFIL is providing a donation to the Tyre Municipalities Union and the Disaster Relief Committee of the Tyre Municipalities Union, benefiting approximately 670 displaced families in shelters in Tyre and its suburbs. The donation consists of food packages, cleaning and sanitizing materials. The initiative aims to help local communities where it has remained in the city of Tyre and its suburbs.
