UNIFIL Flash: UNIFIL supports displaced families with food aid. Rola Bzeih – UNIFIL Civil Affairs Officer: This is a project in collaboration with the Union of Al Qalaa Municipalities, consisting of 750 food parcels. It is part of the current projects we are implementing with the Union of Municipalities and the municipalities to support displaced families who are outside of shelter centers, in coordination directly with the municipalities and the Union of Municipalities. Ali Zeineddine - Vice President of the Union of Al Qalaa Municipalities: We are with UNIFIL peacekeepers, as the cooperation began before the displacement and continues to this moment, which we are experiencing today. Today, we will receive from UNIFIL peacekeepers no less than 700 food parcels for the Union of Al Qalaa Municipalities, covering 13 municipalities, with each municipality receiving approximately 65 food parcels. In this difficult situation we are passing through, although the aid is limited, it helps to partially cover the deficit we are facing honestly. During this tough period, we found UNIFIL peacekeepers by our side, just as they have always been before the displacement, as they used to support us in the south, and now they are standing with us here during the displacement. UNIFIL Flash: UNIFIL peacekeepers recently escorted inspection and repair of a damaged water pipeline in El Hebbariye, enabling safe access for technical teams. The initiative was appreciated by local authorities and aims to restore essential water services, improving residents' access to clean water during these challenging times.
