Behind the creation of the “Educational Model for Peace and Emotional Wellbeing” lies the voice and perspective of the educational community of Santa María Ixtahuacán and Nahualá, Sololá. This model, which emerges from the territories themselves, aims to strengthen values, skills, and attitudes that enable peaceful conflict resolution, and to foster supportive educational environments and wellbeing through a culture of peace. This initiative is part of the project “Consolidating infrastructures to sustain peace,” implemented by UNESCO in partnership with the Caja Lúdica collective, in coordination with UN Women and UNDP, and supported by the United Nations Peacebuilding Fund.
