Access to Clean Water In Sool Region (Oxfam & ECHO Project)
The installation of a pump and riser mains for the borehole, solarization of the borehole, and a 4km pipeline extension including two water points has significantly impacted the Falayryaale village community.
This intervention has provided the community with improved access to clean water, which is essential for various aspects of daily life, such as drinking, cooking, and sanitation. The presence of water points at the extended pipeline has likely reduced the time and effort community members previously spent fetching water, allowing them to allocate more time to other activities, such as education, work, and community engagement.
The distribution of hygiene kits has likely improved the overall health and well-being of the community by promoting cleanliness and preventing diseases. The provision of solar lights has likely enhanced safety and security, as well as extended the hours for productivity and social activities, especially in the evenings.
Cash for water may have addressed a critical need for access to clean water, improving the daily lives of the residents. Additionally, the cleaning campaign has likely contributed to a cleaner environment and raised awareness about the importance of sanitation. These interventions have the potential to positively impact the lives of the Falayryaale community by addressing essential needs and promoting health and well-being
