In Beletweyne, Somalia, families once relied on costly water trucking to survive recurring droughts. Today, thanks to a solar-powered water system built by Oxfam with support from the Dutch Relief Alliance (DRA) and implemented through the Somali Joint Response, clean water flows again. The rehabilitated shallow wells at Farah Geedi now serve over 600 families, reducing water costs, improving hygiene, and restoring dignity to communities long affected by water scarcity.
