On 9 September 2025, 3ie brought together policymakers, researchers, implementers, donors, and self-help group members for a shared dialogue on lessons from the Ministry of Rural Development’s Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana - National Rural Livelihoods Mission. Additional Secretary, Ministry of Rural Development, T.K. Anil Kumar said that the journey since 2011 has been wonderful and interesting with more than 10,00,00,000 women, 91,00,000 self-help groups, 33,000 cluster level federations, and 5.5 lakh village organizations. He recalled the original NRLM document which mentions that the core belief of the NRLM is that the poor have a strong desire and innate capabilities to come out of poverty.
