Session 10: Innovations for lessons in impact
Innovations for lessons in impact: Empowering rural communities through evidence
On 9 September 2025, 3ie brought together policymakers, researchers, implementers, donors, and self-help group members for a shared dialogue on lessons from the Ministry of Rural Development’s Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana - National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM). This session explored innovative approaches, pilots, and at-scale that can further drive the impacts of the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana - National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM). The session built on earlier sessions that highlighted key lessons from the impact evaluation of NRLM and NRLM 2.0 and reflected on how these learnings can be adapted to inform program design and enhance implementation. Discussions centred on how innovations can shape more inclusive, resilient, and scalable livelihood strategies, especially in the lead-up to the SDG deadline. Practitioners and policymakers reflected on how to better embed learning and evidence use into rural development programs.
