Webinar: Integrating multiple data sources for the monitoring of SDG 15 - Life on Land

This videoconference was organized by the United Nations Regional Hub for Big Data in Brazil, in collaboration with the Division of Statistics of ECLAC and the National Institute of Statistics (INE) of Chile. It is part of a series of webinars dedicated to the Sustainable Development Indicators, aimed at broadening the regional discussion on the use of new technologies and emerging methodologies — such as artificial intelligence, data science, big data, and other alternative data sources — in the production of official statistics and indicators for monitoring the 2030 Agenda. This second session was focused on how to use various data sources (such as satellite images, maps, surveys, and records) to monitor SDG 15 indicators (Life on Land). Recordings of previous events, as well as other resources and publications, can be found on the website of the Knowledge Transmission Network of the Statistical Conference of the Americas (CEA): https://rtc-cea.cepal.org/es
