Digital Kyzylorda: Saya's story
In 2025, as part of the Digital Kyzylorda initiative — funded by the Republic of Korea and implemented alongside the UNDP Seoul Policy Center — more than 160 entrepreneurs from the Kyzylorda region gained vital digital skills tailored to the unique needs of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Kazakhstan.
Later, over 30 standout entrepreneurs from the first round of workshops stepped up to become trainers themselves. In October, the initiative reached new heights when 15 entrepreneurs and local government representatives traveled to Astana for an experience-sharing workshop. There, they dove into sessions on digital transformation, startup support, and the growing influence of AI.
Among the Digital Kyzylorda participants is Saya, a young entrepreneur determined to see her business thrive. Saya shares that the Digital Kyzylorda workshops gave her the essential knowledge and skills to bring her ambitions to life.
