Forests and сlimate video lesson
Within the framework of the regional project “Climate Education for Advancing the Sustainable Development Goals and Climate Action” (Climate Box), a series of educational video lessons was developed to raise awareness among schoolchildren and teachers about the interlinkages between climate change and the environment.
The series includes three thematic video lessons:
• Biodiversity and Climate – explores the impacts of climate change on ecosystems, flora and fauna, and highlights the role of biodiversity in strengthening ecosystem resilience to climate change.
• Forests and Climate – focuses on the importance of forests in climate regulation, carbon sequestration, the provision of ecosystem services, and adaptation to climate change.
• Mountains and Climate – examines the effects of climate change on mountain ecosystems, glaciers, and water resources, as well as the importance of mountain regions for environmental sustainability and human well-being.
The video lessons serve as supplementary educational tools to support climate education and promote environmental awareness and responsible behavior among students.
