The 7th meeting of the ASYCUDA project's Steering Committee in Cambodia was held on 13 December 2023 and enjoyed the participation of HE Dr. Kun Nhim, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister, Director General of the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia, representatives of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), Swisscontact Cambodia, UNCTAD ASYCUDA, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), relevant experts, and customs and excise officials. The committee reviewed the progress of the implementation of Digitalization of Maritime Trade (DGMT), Digitalization for Express Delivery Packages and interconnection with UPU-CDS system. ASYCUDA Regional Coordinator Marianne Dumont was also awarded a medal of honor by the Government for her contribution to the modernization and digitalization of customs procedures in Cambodia.
