The Maldives Anti-Corruption Conference 2024, organized by Transparency Maldives in collaboration with the Anti-Corruption Commission, focused on climate governance and corruption, a critical intersection for a nation facing existential threats from climate change. With substantial climate finance flowing into the country for mitigation and adaptation projects, this conference brought together government agencies, civil society organizations, and key stakeholders to address governance gaps, transparency challenges, and accountability mechanisms in climate finance management. Ecocare Maldives presents findings from their Citizens Climate Agenda project, conducted in partnership with NDI across three areas of the Maldives.
