Since March 2025, Lebanese investigative media outlet Daraj has been subjected to a coordinated defamation campaign led by media organisations affiliated with the banking sector in Lebanon. They have become the target of strategic lawsuits against puclic participation (SLAPPs), which are intended to censor, intimidate and silence critics by burdening them with the cost of legal defence.
