Drought is one of the deadliest climate change episodes, with far-reaching impacts on communities in Garissa. Oxfam is investing in long-term projects that help communities withstand drought shocks. In Masalani village, Garissa County, working jointly with our partner Pastoralist Girls Initiative, we have provided group grant and entrepreneurial training to select groups such as Development GirlsGroup, as an alternative livelihood and sustainability project support for members. The project is funded by the Danida Fellowship Centre.
