World Humanitarian Day 2025
On World Humanitarian Day, UNFPA Supply Chain pay tribute to colleagues working on the frontlines at great personal risk to safeguard the health, safety, and dignity of women, girls, and young people.
Violence against health facilities has doubled, and more aid workers have been killed this year than last — the deadliest year on record. Yet health workers remain a lifeline for civilians caught in conflict.
For women and girls, the stakes are dire: maternity wards bombed, births without skilled care, and survivors of sexual violence unable to seek treatment. For UNFPA Supply Chain, this means ensuring that even in the most fragile settings, maternal health commodities, contraceptives, and dignity kits reach those who need them most.
Access to healthcare is a human right — even in war. Humanitarians and those they serve must be protected.
