Activity Options for Action Plans for Brominated, Chlorinated and Other New POPs

On 22 January 2026 (14:00-16:30 CET), the Green Growth Knowledge Partnership (GGKP), as part of the GEF-funded and UNEP-led Global NIP Update Project (GEF ID 10785), hosted a virtual webinar on Activity Options for Action Plans for Brominated, Chlorinated and Other New POPs. The webinar introduced the integrated approach to reducing and eliminating POPs plastic additives in particular listed brominated flame retardants (PBDEs, PBB and HBCD), chlorinated flame retardants (Dechlorane Plus, SCCPs/MCCPs) and UV-328 across major use sectors including electrical and electronic equipment (EEE)/waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), transport/end-of-life vehicles (ELVs) and buildings/construction and demolition waste (CDW).
