Making Data Work: Applying GMP and POPs Inventories for Evidence-Based Policy in NIPs
On 30 January 2026 (16:00-17:30 CET), the Green Growth Knowledge Partnership (GGKP), as part of the GEF-funded and UNEP-led Global NIP Update Project (GEF ID 10785), hosted a virtual webinar on Making Data Work: Applying GMP and POPs Inventories for Evidence-Based Policy in NIPs.
The webinar explored how data from the Global Monitoring Plan (GMP) and national POPs inventories can be effectively handled, interpreted and leveraged to inform evidence-based policy design and enhance NIP development. Focusing on the practical application of these data sets, the webinar offered insights into past and ongoing GMP efforts and highlight opportunities for utilizing data to support sound environmental governance and effective POPs management.
