The key achievements of Serbia's faceless movement
From days-long #student marches in the winter cold to neighbours sharing food, clothes, and shelter, Serbian society is talking to itself again. These acts of solidarity have become a form of self-defence—people turning anger over corruption and insecurity into everyday cooperation.
Behind this lies deep frustration: stagnant wages, stricter labour rules, and a sense that #corruption is physically dangerous.
When communities reconnect, even small injustices start to feel unacceptable. That’s when calls for the rule of law gain ground. And it's often how #authoritarian systems begin to weaken: people rebuild trust with each other before institutions catch up.
