Reinventing What Clothes Are Made Of | Bezos Earth Fund
Today we’re announcing $34 million in new grants for sustainable fashion! Teams of scientists and researchers at Columbia University, Fashion Institute of Technology, Cotton Foundation, Clemson University, University of California, Berkeley are receiving funding to help re-invent the fabrics that clothes are made of.
And this is just the latest in our commitment to sustainable fashion – last year the Bezos EarthFund and CFDA created the Next Thread Initiative to empower and spotlight independent fashion designers focused on sustainability and scholarships to students pursuing sustainable design.
We’re excited to work with all our grantees to help bring new innovation, ideas and invention forward for the future of fashion.
