In December 2024, Cyclone Chido caused severe damage to school infrastructure in Ntcheu, Malawi, leaving hundreds of children without safe learning spaces. Chisenga Junior Primary School was among the hardest hit, with its classroom block completely blown off by strong winds. Now, the school has a safe, child-friendly classroom block! This has been made possible with support from Save the Children through its partnership with the Chisenga School Management Committee, and Ntcheu District Council. Watch the handover event!
