Since August 2017, the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS), together with the IFRC and Red Cross Red Crescent partners, has been alongside displaced families from Myanmar - at the forefront of one of the largest, longest-running humanitarian responses in the world.
For eight years and counting, BDRCS teams have worked tirelessly in Cox’s Bazar and beyond to provide lifesaving assistance — from shelter, health, and clean water to protection and community support for displaced Rohingya families and vulnerable host communities alike. Despite immense needs and growing funding shortfalls, this sustained humanitarian action has supported hundreds of thousands of people dependent on aid as the crisis remains unresolved.
Watch the story of their commitment, solidarity, and resilience — and how the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement continues to stand with communities affected by protracted displacement.
