🌊🌾 Tackling Water Challenges in the Pesnica River Basin! 🌾🌊 Under the OPTAIN project in Slovenia, in the scope of Pesnica Case Study the aim is to enhance implementation of Natural Small Water Retention Measures (NSWRMs) to retain nutrient and water to address challenges like: 🌧️ Floods 🌪️ Water erosion 🌱 Nutrient loss & eutrophication ☀️ Drought 🤝 We’ve engaged farmers, agricultural companies, environmental organizations, NGOs, and local communities to improve cooperation and create sustainable solutions. Together, we’re aligning policies with local needs to protect ecosystems and livelihoods.
