On #WorldWetlandsDay, Boon Rueng Wetland in Thailand reminds us how important wetlands are for people and nature. For many years, this wetland has provided food, livelihoods, and a home for wildlife. But it once faced a serious threat when there were plans to turn the area into a special economic zone. Local communities came together to protect it.
