On the hashtag#WorldCleanEnergyDay, Una spotlight how renewable energy is strengthening healthcare systems in Timor-Leste. As Timor-Leste advances its green transformation, clean energy is strengthening healthcare systems across the country. In Dili, solar power is now providing stable electricity to the National Institute of Pharmacy and Medical Products, ensuring lifesaving medicines and vaccines are safely stored through a reliable cold chain. Solar energy is also transforming rural clinics, including in Manatuto, where health workers can now deliver 24-hour medical services. This shift to clean, reliable energy is protecting lives, reducing costs, and lowering emissions. UNDP is proud to support Timor-Leste on this green transformation journey, in partnership with the people and Government of Japan, working together for a healthier and more resilient Pacific.
